House of Soul 2008: Tynisha Keli, Jazmine Sullivan, Jennifer Hudson & Raphael Saadiq



Well I went to the show this past Thursday and it was cool. It started hella late, but it was still a cool show.





Tynisha is cool, I guess. She really didn’t move me and her little single she has out now ain’t all that, but it’s cute. She’s soo tiny. But she warmed the crowd up since we were waiting so long for the show to start. She did 2-3 songs.

Jazmine was next up on stage and she’s what got everybody pissed off. She kept us outside and in the cold freezing because she just flew in from the airport and arrived at the concert at 7:30. So she had to do her sound check first which took hella long. They decided to let us in at 8:30 while she was still doing her sound check in her pj’s. Now how ghetto is that? Lol Once she was ready she still put on a good show. She performed “Bust Ya Windows”, “Lions Tigers & Bears” and “Need U Bad”

Jennifer came on next. This is who everyone was anticipating. She walked out on that stage and owned it! Jennifer performed a handful of songs: “All Dressed Up In Love”, “We Gon’ Fight”, “If This Isn’t Love” (I’d have to hear them in full and studio version to really get a feel, but they sounded ok) Donny Hathaway’s “I Love Music”, “And I’m Telling You” & “Spotlight” Jenny brought folks onstage for “And I’m Telling You” and it was a trip. Ray Ray. We didn’t stay for him. The show was suppose to start at 8pm but it didn’t start until 9-something. When Jenny was done, it was going on 12:15am. We were tired. So were a lot of other folks, so when Jenny bounced, so did we. LOL And come to find out, it was going on 1:30am and Ray still wasn’t on stage. Uh huh. A mess! Lol
